The trainees

One of the primary aims of Ladders is to provide young people aged 11 to 16 training and work experience to give them the skills for life. The trainees are provided with a programme to give them the skills to support artists in planning, delivering and evaluating workshops. They are actively involved in supporting project managers to plan and deliver all Ladders projects.

They also take the lead in organising events and trips, regularly consulting younger members and listen to their ideas. We aim for our trainees to become role models for the younger members of the club.

Trainees can gain Arts Award Discover, Bronze and Silver if they wish. They can become assistant tutors and coordinators.
